Under Tennessee state law, someone with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) over .08% cannot legally operate a motor vehicle. For those under the legal drinking age of 21, the legal BAC is under .02%. If an officer pulls over your vehicle and believes that you are driving with a BAC level above the legal limit for your age, you will be detained and possibly arrested.
